Wellington Things To Do

There are so many things to do in Wellington, you'll probably spend a day just working out your itinerary. Culture, coffee, film, food, heritage, the wonders of nature, sightseeing, museums and some thrilling family attractions.

Our Wellington 'Things to Do' guide covers all budgets. You can spend as little or as much as you like. Get out and about in the many parks, museums and boat trips, or spend the day in a theme park, forest gym or on the golf course. Being the centre of the Kiwi film industry, 'Wellywood' has lots of great movie locations to go and visit (check out the organised guided tours).   Culture vultures will be spoiled for choice with all the art galleries, museums and exhibitions on in town. Water and land activities are everywhere, and there are lots of great gardens and parks.   Hop on board the Wellington Cable Car, stroll along the Harbourside, or check out Wellington Zoo, Zealandia and Carter Observatory at the top of the Botanic Gardens. You can be as active or passive as you like here. Wellington is such a welcoming, laid back place, don't be afraid to just go with the flow.
